It is now official, Darksiders II has surpassed the original Darksiders in lifetime pre-orders here in the United States. The Xbox 360 version added 2,293, giving it a total of 85,013 while the PS3 version added 1,823, giving it a total of 74,316. The collective total between the two versions is now 159,329, surpassing the 157,180 total for Darksiders. Furthermore, both the 360 and PS3 specific numbers have both surpassed the first game.
There were no games on the Top 50 released last week and the 360 and PS3 versions held steady at the #13 and #17 spots respectively. There was some movement, with NCAA Football 13 leapfrogging over the PS3 version of Darksiders II, but this was offset by Darksiders passing up Final Fantasy XIV Online. Three games on the Top 50 list are set to release this week and it will be interesting to see if the PC version of Darksiders II is able to crack the listing soon.
