Some brand new footage of Darksiders II has surfaced showcasing one of the many optional boss battles as well as quick glimpse of the Soul Splitter. The boss battle takes place in one of the optional dungeons found within the Forge Lands. Yes you heard that right, there are completely optional dungeons that Death can navigate through in the game. There is also gameplay of one of the new weapons featured in Darksiders II called the Soul Splitter. This ability will allow Death to split himself into two entities, and he will use these two versions of his character to solve a variety of puzzles.
All of this comes from the folks over at Gameswelt.TV. I’ve included the embedded video after the jump, but the Darksiders II related footage doesn’t appear until the 28:32 time stamp. Unfortunately, the commentary given is not in English, so I don’t quite understand what they were saying. In any case, make the jump to check out the video.
