With less than two weeks away from the release of Darksiders II, there has been quite a jump in the hard numbers of pre-orders for Darksiders II. While once again it’s worth noting that the accuracy of the VG Chartz numbers is questionable, the trend does show a significant jump this week. The Xbox 360 version of the game has added 8,985 pre-orders, now totaling 99,023, while the PS3 version added 6,776 pre-orders, totaling 86,333. The two versions now sit at the #12 and #14 slots respectively.
With over 185,000 pre-orders in the US alone, Darksiders II has far surpassed the totals of the original Darksiders. The game still has two more weeks to go on the chart and with the upward trend in pre-order numbers, as well as the huge advertising campaigns that THQ is putting out, I fully expect huge jumps in the next few weeks.
