Darksiders II Wii U Box Artwork Revealed

The Darksiders II box artwork for the Nintendo Wii U has been revealed. It’s no surprise, but the artwork looks identical to that of the PS3, Xbox 360, and PC versions of the game, showcasing Death as he rides on Despair. The only difference is the blue Nintendo Wii U logo at the top of the box.

We still don’t know much at all about the Nintendo Wii U version of the game. Nintendo hasn’t announced much at all in terms of a release date or price of the console, and thus, third parties have had to sit back and wait to announce stuff on their own. We know we’ll see some map and inventory uses of the Nintendo Wii U tablet controller, but beyond that, we don’t know much at all. Darksiders II is set to be a launch title for the new Nintendo console, so stayed for more information. Make the jump to see a larger version of the box art.

I always thought the WiiU box cover would be white and green, not green and blue.

I’m not hating on this, but I think the Wii U logo isn’t very nice. Not in comparison to the clean lines of the Wii box art. I’ve never liked the Xbox 360 boxes, but I like the PS3 redesigned over the original. Call me picky, but it might just be the colour scheme. To teh Photoshops!

in marketing terms i think the wii u brand name and design is not that good cause it reminds people about the wii, which it isn’t such a bad console, but nintendo is looking to get with many hardcore gamers who have been reluctant to nintendo products in the last years. Now when it comes to how the logo looks on game boxes, well it actually looks pretty darn good, especially with the darksiders art style, the problem with it as i said is more about how it is a reminder of the wii and well i’m not that fan of using blue on it, i prefer the colors used on the gamecube one, purple and white. Still like you i might be being too picky hahaha

I like the new box design. It reminds me of the GameCube, which is a good things as it’s one of my favorite Nintendo consoles.
