Darksiders II has finally hit retail stores here in the United States. Those of you who picked the game up at midnight have already enjoyed the title for a few hours. The official embargo lifts at 9am Pacific time on Tuesday morning, so we should be getting a load of interviews in just a few hours. However, before that, there are two more in-print reviews that have popped up on our radar.
The first one come from Playstation Official Magazine Australia, where they scored the game at a 90%. Here is what they had to say about the title. “The overwhelming feeling that shines through in Darksiders II is that this is an all-or-nothing bet that’s been painstakingly crafted by a team who’s all too well aware of the price of failure. Clearly there’s been a lot of love put into this. So, should you cross over to the dark side of this underworld, one more time? Grinding nether-regions for 20 hours straight has never been this satisfying.”
Additionally, a second review has come in from Games Master UK, where they scored the game at an 88%. Here is what they had to say. The first Darksiders rightly garnered itself a cult following, but it’s barely fit to hold a candle to Darksiders II. Bigger, bolder, more creative, more interesting, deeper, smarter, better… Hurl all the positive adjectives and adverbs you want at this action-adventure sequel and they’ll stick good and tight.
