Back in July of this year I was able to attend a Darksiders II press event at the THQ headquarters in Agoura Hills, California. At the time, all the fun was about Darksiders II, as we were able to get nearly 14 hours of hands on with the then unreleased game. However, one of the other sweet parts of the event, was being able to briefly browse around the THQ headquarters, and see much of the Darksiders based material they had on display. One such item was this super rare statue of War from the original Darksiders.
Pictured to the left, this massive statues stands at around two feet tall. If you make the jump to see the larger version, you can compare its size to the TV remote control that is sitting on the table next to it. After talking about it with some of the folks at THQ, I heard that only 13 of them were created, 1 of which had been destroyed. Thus only 12 of them are somewhere out there in the world. Unfortunately my negotiation skills are severely lacking, as I wasn’t able to convince community manager THQSledgehammer to part ways with his statue. In any case, go ahead and make the jump to see a larger version of the image.
PS: If one of the people that actually owns this statue is reading this… and wants to part ways with it! Let me know as I’m sure we can reach a deal.
