Fan Made Darksiders Sculptures

DeviantART user Clockwerk97 has made small sculptures from a variety of different video games and he has recently put together some sweet Darksiders goodies. He has put together small sculptures of Ruin, War, Abaddon, Azrael, Samael, Death, and Karn.

You can see the small sample version of Karn to the left, but I’ve gone ahead and included all of his other Darksiders creations after the jump. Many of these are just so incredibly detailed. Just looking at my display case in my office, I would absolutely love to have these Darksders sculptures lined up in a row. In any case, be sure to take a look and become a watcher of Clockwerk97 at deviantART.

Custom Darksiders Posters at Etsy

Over at Etsy, a seller has posted a pair of custom made Darksiders posters for sale. Each of these water-colored posters sell for $15 a piece and they highlight War and Death from the first two Darksiders titles. As a collector, I’m not really into unofficial merchandise, but these are pretty cool. I’m going to pass on them, but they are nice to look at nonetheless. You can see a sample of the War piece to the left, but go ahead and make the jump to see larger versions of both posters.

Hand Crafted Death Wall Plaque

Over at the official Darksiders Facebook page, a sweet custom made Death wall plaque was featured. The Death Mask is very similar to the one that came with the Collector’s Edition of Darksiders II. The plaque behind the mask has the Darksiders logo that has been used for the first two games. You can see a sample image to the left, but go ahead and make the jump to check out a larger version.

Custom Made Death and Dust Action Figure

Back in November of 2009, a War Figurine was released in anticipation to the release of the original Darksiders. We have since seen multiple Darksiders related statues, and a Death and Dust Statue is on its way. However, over at the official Darksiders Facebook page, community member Vernon Gibbs II has created a custom made Death and Dust Action Figure. The figure is incredibly detailed and if that was available for sale, I’d buy it in a heartbeat. You can see a quick look of the image to the left, but go ahead and make the jump to check out a larger version.

Lore – Darksiders Lore in a Minute!

Over at the Lore YouTube channel, a brand new video has been released titled Darksiders Lore in a Minute! If that name isn’t self-explanatory enough, basically it is a one-minute cartoon video that gives the backstory of the original Darksiders. They use some cool cartoony artwork and showcase the characters in some unique ways. It’s a fun little video and should be something to hold you over as we wait until August 14th to draw near. Go ahead and make the jump to check it out.

My Little Ruin and Despair

So what do Darksiders and My Little Pony have in common? Well not much at all, but they do both have horses. DeviantART user Vampasaurus has merged these two worlds together by creating little ponies of both Ruin and Despair. I loved Ruin in Darksiders and Despair seems to fill that similar role in Darksiders II, but I don’t quite think they are cute in the pony sense, but this fan creation definitely brings that out of them. You can see a small version of Ruin to the left, but go ahead and make the jump to check out the full-sized images of both Ruin and Despair.

Youtube comedian Tobuscus has recently put out a Darksiders II Literal Trailer. With these fun trailers, Tobuscus adds song lyrics to the trailer, pretty much literally explaining what is happening, or rather, what he is thinking while it is happening. They are all pretty fun and really worth checking out. He has done a ton of these before, so it’s nice to see Darksiders II get its shot. Go ahead and make the jump to check out the video.

Darksiders Fan Video: What If

YouTuber Evildeadfan102 recently uploaded a montage video of clips from the original Darksiders. The video titled, What If, includes the track by the same name of the rock band Simple Plan. The montage follows War’s quest through the original Darksiders, starting with the Apocalypse that kicks off the game, until delivering the final blow to the end game boss. I’m not quite sure how fitting the more uplifting rock song fits in the Darksiders universe, but the music video was pretty well done. If you are constantly looking for something to pass the time in the days leading up to the release of Darksiders II, then this video is for you. Go ahead and make the jump to check out the video embed.

Amazing Darksiders Tattoo

How big of a Darksiders fan are you? Big enough that you would get a Darksiders tattoo that covers your entire back? Well, one fan did just that. Originally posted over at the official Darksiders forums, user Gbrandse posted a picture of a tattoo that she got about one year ago. The tattoo showcases War on top of Ruin, much like the standard box artwork from the game. Three phrases can be seen: Haunted by Heaven, Hated by Hell, and Driven by Vengeance. It’s one of the most impressive fan tattoos I’ve ever seen, whether it be for Darksiders or any game. As big of a Darksiders fan as I am, I don’t think I’d ever get such a tattoo. Heck, I don’t think I’d ever get a tattoo period, but that’s just me. Go ahead and make the jump to check out a larger image of the tattoo.

The folks over at Nexus Mods have posted a sweet modifcation for Skyrim. The modification attempts to bring War from the original Darksiders into the Skyrim universe. Personally, I think it’s pretty cool that somebody has tried to create such a modification, but the worlds just don’t collide very well in my opinion. You can see a sample to the left, but go ahead and make the jump to check out some more images.
