Achievements and Trophies

Achievements and Trophies are awards given to the gamer for completing certain objectives or gaining certain items.

Darksiders

There are 43 total awards in Darksiders. 505 gamer points can be earned just by playing through the game and beating it on easy mode for the the Xbox 360. This includes 14 Bronze Trophies, 7 Silver Trophies, and 1 Gold Trophy. If purchased for the PC through the Steam Store, each award also has a Steam Achievement equivalent, although Steam does not assign value like XBL or PSN.

Story

The following achievements and trophies are awarded while progressing through the story. They are impossible to miss, the only exception being rare cases of a glitch or bug. They are presented in the order they are obtained.

Difficulty

The following achievements and trophies are awarded after defeating the Destroyer, depending on the game difficulty chosen by the player when starting a new game. When completing the game on a difficulty other than Easy, the preceding award is also acquired. For example, if you complete the game for the first time on Apocalyptic, all three will be awarded.

Skill

The following achievements and trophies are awarded after completing a specific task or combat maneuver, the key here being that they are possible to either miss or fail, and can be difficult or impossible to complete after beating the game. Grind

The following achievements and trophies are awarded after grinding. They take the longest to achieve and are by far the most difficult. There are some devious methods to complete them somewhat quickly, but no matter what it will take you some time. In the case of Battle Hardened, a number of abilities must be purchased from Vulgrim in addition to other criteria.

Special

The following achievements and trophies are awarded after defeating Absalom, depending on the game difficulty chosen by the player when starting a new game. When completing the game on a difficulty other than Easy, the preceding award is also acquired. For example, if you complete the game for the first time on Apocalyptic, all three will be awarded.

RPG

Several awards are directly related to the various RPG elements found in Darksiders II. Technically, all but Grim Reaping can be missed, but that would only be possible for some if the player was to ignore the gameplay element all-together.

• While Grim Reaping is related to experience level, it is impossible not to reach level 6 while progressing through the story. It may seem to relate to skill points, but this is not the case.

The Crucible

Two awards are related to completing The Crucible. A Crucible Pass is required to access the Crucible arena, and it is only provided in new copies of the game. If it was bought used, the pass must be purchased separately.
