Mases Hagopian launched Zelda Dungeon back in August of 2001. Nearly ten years later, Pokemon Dungeon was the first expansion into Dungeon websites in May of 2011. By October of 2011, Dungeon Gaming Enterprises LLC was officially in place and brainstorming began to include future game franchises into the network.

On January 20th, 2012, Mases was contacted at Zelda Dungeon by a representative from THQ. Considering the similarities between the Zelda and Darksiders franchise, the team from THQ was reaching out to Mases to introduce him to the Darksiders Universe. Mases, having never played Darksiders before, purchased a PS3 in February of 2012 and began live streaming his playthrough of Darksiders on his Twitch.TV page.
After enjoying his playthrough of Darksiders, Mases decided to setup Darksiders Dungeon as a network site of Dungeon Gaming Enterprises. The site officially launched on March 5th, 2012.
The Darksiders Wiki quickly began to grow with new articles being added everyday. By June 2012, it became the largest compendium of Darksiders information online and it has continued to grow ever since.
