The Drowned Pass was once a mountain road, but is now a lake filled peaceful oasis.
[edit] Darksiders
The Drowned Pass is located west of the Scalding Gallow and it is a pathway that leads to Anvil's Ford.
Much like The Choking Grounds, War cannot progress beyond the Drowned Pass as a Tormented Gate is blocking his pathway. In order to progress onward he must complete the four Shadow Challenges. After successfully completing the four challenges, War can use the Earthcaller to move the Tormented Gate, allowing him to progress to Anvil's Ford.
Much later on in his quest, War will return to the Drowned Pass in search for an Armageddon Shard that is needed to reforge the Armageddon Blade. The Shard can be found atop the sunken building, but War will need to use the Mask of Shadows to see the hidden chest.

- Wrath of War: Kill 30 enemies using the destructive power of War's Chaos Form within the time limit (5:00) Bonus Souls are awarded for any time left on the clock.
- Defender: Keep at least one Undead Soldier alive throughout the time limit (5:00). Bonus Souls are awarded for each Undead that survives.
- World of Pain: Kill 15 enemies using environmental weapon attacks within the time limit (4:00). Bonus Souls are awarded for any time left on the clock.
- Counter Killer: Kill five enemies using only block and projectile counterattacks within the time limit (5:00). Bonus Souls are awarded for any time left on the clock.
