The Ice Giant is a mini-boss featured in Darksiders II.

War will encounter the Ice Giant very early on in his quest while in The Dark Fortress.
This is one of the few creatures in the game that only makes one appearance. While the smaller Ice Skeletons appear later on the quest and within The Crucible, the Ice Giant only appears this one time in the Dark Fortress.
[edit] Strategy
Even on Apocalyptic, this is a fairly straightforward enemy. It has one attack - a right swing followed by a left smash. It can easily be avoided with a side evade.
Attack it in between its swings, and after a few rounds it will go down in a flurry of ice.

The Darksiders II: Prima Games Strategy Guide refers to this mini-boss as an Icebound Giant.
