While there are many Soldier Artifacts and a number of Champion Artifacts, there is only one ancient Overlord Artifact.
[edit] Overview
The most valuable and arguably the most frustrating to collect of all of the artifacts, the Overlord Artifact is worth 5000 souls when traded into Vulgrim, and in addition he gifts War with an entire Wrath Core. Collecting it is a tease, because the first time you spot it under The Ashlands, it is impossible to reach.

While the artifact can be seen the first time traveling through The Ashlands, it is only accessible once the Abyssal Chain has been acquired from the Iron Canopy.
In the northern part of The Ashlands there is a grouping of three drilling towers. Using the Chain, get to the top of the middle tower, and using a abyssal chain grappling point swing over to the top of the adjecent tower. There on the roof, shut down the drill. Then drop down into the newly revealed opening and grab the Overlord Artifact.
