A stylized dual-sided Scythe that can be split into two separate weapons mid-combat.
Special Abilities: This weapon has the largest and most flexible selection of attacks.[1]
[edit] Darksiders II
The Scythe is Death's primary melee weapon. It isn't as powerful as his larger weapons, but it is very quick and can used in combination with larger, more powerful weapons.
Death begins the game with a basic Level 1 Scythe, but as he progress throughout his quest, he will earn higher level Scythes that do more damage. Basic scythes are colored white in Death's inventory, signifying that they are simple weapons that only effect one character stat, damage.
Each basic Scythe that Death acquires will have a random game model. It's model has no effect on the randomly generated statistics.

Basic Scythes of the same level have a set base damage, with a range in both directions. Level 1 Scythes have a base damage of 25, but the actual numbers are randomly generated. Some Level 1 scythes will have a damage range from 23 to 27, while another might range from 22 to 28. The average of the higher and lower base damage will always be 25 for Level 1 basic scythes. Higher level Scythes will have higher damage values, but will follow the same ranged formula.

Death will collect a variety of Scythes throughout his quest. They are differentiated by their color in Death's inventory. Green Enchanted Items effect damage and one additional category. Blue Rare Items will effect damage and two additional categories. Purple Elite Items will effect damage and three additional categories. Death can also acquire Scythes that are Possessed Weapons, who's characteristics will depend on which items are fed into the Scythes.
