[edit] Overview

The demon Straga has long been known as a brawny, dimwitted behemoth. Both Abaddon and the Horseman War were crushed beneath his fists.

Straga revels in his new role as The Destroyer's champion, a one-demon phalanx between the Dark Prince and all who oppose him. His victims are chained beneath the shadow of Straga's monstrous bulk with no escape. Who could defeat such a fearless, bone-splintering force of nature?

[edit] Prologue

Straga is a general during the Apocalypse at the beginning of Darksiders. As a leader of the armies from Hell, Straga will battle Adaddon on Earth and is victorious. His victory leads The Charred Council to say that Hell was victories during the End War and the gate to Heaven is closed, keeping the Angels stranded on Earth. Straga will also battle with War during the Apocalypse. War is able to use the Chaoseater to take out an eye of Straga, but he is unable to defeat him.

After Straga defeats Abaddon, the Angels blame War for the loss, as his presence was an unnecessary intervention and it tilted the balance between Heaven and Hell. As a result of Straga defeating Abaddon, the Angels, led by Uriel, come after War for much of the events of Darksiders.

[edit] Physical Appearance

Straga has a head that somewhat resembles that of a skull. During both battles with the massive demon, only his upper body can be seen, as his lower body is submerged underneath a lake of lava. Straga is fairly immobile during battle, along moving his arms to either toss cars towards War, or to slash at him with his arms or a club.

[edit] The Black Throne

Straga gets his powers from the large tower known as The Black Throne. It is learned from Azrael, that the tower and Straga are linked together, so defeat the Chosen, will cause the crumbling of the tower.

After War defeats Straga he will earn the Payback's A B**** Achievement or Trophy.

[edit] Trivia

  • In The Art of Darksiders, Straga originally resembled a large Cthulhu like creature that could release lightning-like energy from his arms.
