The Black Throne is the final dungeon in Darksiders and it floats in the air at the far north end of the Destroyed City.

[edit] Overview
Rooted above a gaping wound cut deep into the earth, The Black Throne stands as both a stronghold of Hell's power and a symbol of the Dark One's victory. It rises high above the broken city, obsidian-colored brick stretching into unholy flame, a never-ending inferno reflecting but a fraction of The Destroyer's might.
Those who do not bow before the monolith are broken.
[edit] Gameplay
On all platforms, The Black Throne has many issues with saving, to the extent that it can become impossible to progress. So make sure to save often, and save on separate save slots.
[edit] Darksiders
War is trying to reach the Black Throne from early on in quest. However, he is told by Samael that the only way to reach the massive spire is by first acquiring all four Hearts of the Chosen. After he has done so, he can return to Samael at the Scalding Gallow, where Samael creates a portal, leading to the Black Throne.
War will encounter Azrael, who is being held prisoner in the Black Throne. War will need to acquire the Voidwalker and then use it to reflect the three beams back to the center chamber of the dungeon where Azrael awaits. Once Azrael has been freed, War will then do battle with the boss of the dungeon, Straga.
After Straga has been defeated, the tower will be collapsing. Azrael will open up the Well of Souls, allowing himself and War to escape, in which they will then be taken to Eden.

Straga is a massive demon and is the leader of The Destroyer's Chosen enemies. War will need to use the Voidwalker to get onto Straga's back, where War can then punish Straga with strikes with the Chaoseater.
