The Dry Road is a location within the Destroyed City of Darksiders.

The Dry Road is located north of the Scalding Gallow and it is a pathway that leads to The Ashlands.

War first visits the Dry Road after defeating The Griever within The Hollow. After returning to Samael, War will learn the Chronomancer ability, allowing him to use Chronospheres to slow the flow of time. This will allow War to travel northward and eventually make it to the Dry Road.
During the initial pass through of the Dry Road, War can get a Soldier Artifact, but there isn't too much else to do. It is a straight forward pass through where War will encounter a variety of enemies as he makes his way to The Ashlands.
After War visits Eden and gains the Mask of Shadows he will have to return to the Dry Road to collect one of the Armageddon Shards. Upon arriving he will be confronted by Uriel. She will challenge War to a battle under Nex Sacramentum, a battle to the death. One of the two must be killed as the death oath cannot be broken. War defeats Uriel, but chooses not to kill her. Instead he tells her of the truth, that Abaddon is The Destroyer. He mentions that Death Oath will soon need to be fulfilled, before Uriel flies onward. After defeat Uriel, War can use the Mark of Shadows to collect the Armageddon Shard.
With the Mask of Shadows, War can return to the large cave within the Dry Road. Using the Goremaw within the large cave to suck up the large block, War will be able to reach a higher ledge. Using the Mask will allow him to see a hidden chest that contains the Carnage Enhancement.
