Torture Coils are massive creatures found within The Hollow of Darksiders.

These massive creatures will snag anything that gets in their way, capably of pulling in characters or massive objects such as small trains.

There are only a few Torture Coils found and they are all near the end of The Hollow. They block War's path from progressing as they will snatch him up if he walks right in front of them. Instead, War needs to push a giant train in front of the coil and this will cause the coil to grab the train instead. The train will block the opening, allowing War to pass by.
